About Westbrook Village Veterans Club

The club was founded in 2013 to recognize WWII veterans residing in Westbrook Village and has since grown to honor all veterans in Westbrook. The Westbrook Village Veterans Club is a service and social club, working for our veterans and socializing through different events.

Our organization has two major meetings a month. The 2nd Wednesday of the month is informative and general business meeting, with the 4th Friday meeting a social time that we call “Coffee with a Vet”.  Just because we’re no longer on active duty doesn’t mean we can’t continue to share our camaraderie and esprit de corps. Have a cup of coffee and a doughnut with a fellow vet and and family members.

Additional activities include service projects where we come together to help one of our own or local veteran organizations that support veterans and their families.

We are raising funds by providing food and refreshments for Westbrook Village’s Annual Craft Fair in November. We host a solemn ceremony on Memorial Day to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Two major major fundraising event each year 1) Annual Veterans Club Golf Tournament with 120 golfers, several sponsors, awards and lunch.  This event has 2 hole-in-one opportunities for a new car and a new golf cart and many other fun events. the second annual event is the Veterans Honor Dinner Gala held near Veterans Day in November and is a sell-out each year. Since our inception we have awarded over $100,000 to local organizations.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the members of the Westbrook Village Veterans Club (WVVC) I would like to personally invite you to our club, not just to observe but to get involved. Reignite that feeling for Community, Patriotism, and Camaraderie, join our club and make a difference.
